There are bars that are in your neighborhood, and there are bars that are your neighborhood. Unassuming watering holes serving up conversation and neat whiskeys for decades—or newer spots that skipped that introductory phase to become an essential drop-in spot from first dates to last call. Depending on the neighborhood, these spots can sling quality cocktails or PBR. This being Seattle, plenty do both. They all tell the story of their surroundings, through the bottom of a glass.
